- Description of Third-Party Components
This application uses the following third-party components, which may collect or process relevant information, and their privacy policies also apply to you:
- **Bugly**: Used to collect application operation error logs to help troubleshoot faults. It may collect device identifiers, crash information, etc. For details, please refer to: [Tencent Bugly Privacy Statement](https://privacy.qq.com/document/preview/fc748b336f8c80f55e3d22a60d)
- **Google ML Kit (Barcode Scanning)**: Used to implement QR code/barcode recognition functions. It only processes image data collected by the camera and completes parsing locally. For details, please refer to: [Google Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy)
- **Room**: A local database framework used only for storing business data such as temperature measurement records and user configurations. All data is stored in the application's private space, not uploaded to the server, and will be deleted when the application is uninstalled.
- **CameraX**: Used to implement camera preview and image collection for infrared temperature measurement. It only requests camera permissions when using the temperature measurement function. All image data is only used for local temperature measurement calculations and is not actively stored or uploaded.
- **WiFiUtils**: Used to establish a wireless connection with infrared devices. It may obtain WiFi status and surrounding network lists (only for device pairing). Devices with Android 10 or lower may be associated with location permissions. Relevant information is not stored or uploaded and is only used for local communication.
- **MMKV**: A local key-value storage framework used to save application configurations and user preferences. It only runs locally on the device and does not involve the collection or transmission of user information. For details, please refer to: [MMKV Open Source Repository](https://github.com/Tencent/MMKV)
- **Network-Related Components (such as Retrofit)**: Used only for local data interaction between the application and infrared devices and do not transmit user information to third-party servers.
- **Other Functional Components**: This application uses open-source components such as ARouter, Glide, and RxJava, which are only used for internal function implementation (such as page jumping and image loading) and do not involve user information processing. Their open-source licenses can be referred to in their respective official documents.
The use of these third-party components complies with their own privacy policies, and we will not authorize third-party components to collect your personal information beyond what is necessary for their functions. All data processed through third-party components is handled locally and will not be uploaded to remote servers.
- Special Description of Camera and Location Permissions
- Camera Permission (android.permission.CAMERA)
The application requests camera permission as it is necessary for core functions, and it is only used in two scenarios after connecting to infrared temperature measurement hardware via USB. The specific description is as follows:
Scenario 1: Activate Basic Preview of Temperature Measurement Screen
When you successfully connect your mobile phone (or tablet) to the infrared temperature measurement hardware via a USB data cable, the application will first detect whether the connected device is a compatible infrared temperature measurement hardware. If it is confirmed to be compatible, the camera permission needs to be enabled to activate the basic temperature measurement screen preview function. At this time, the permission is used to pass the system verification to ensure that the temperature measurement screen collected by the infrared temperature measurement hardware can be normally displayed in real time on the application interface, allowing you to view the temperature distribution and monitoring data.
Scenario 2: Implement "Picture-in-Picture" Overlay Preview
If you actively enable the "Picture-in-Picture" mode on the preview interface, the camera permission will be used to access the mobile phone's own camera. At this time, the application interface will simultaneously display the "temperature measurement screen collected by the infrared temperature measurement hardware" (main screen) and the "real-time environment screen captured by the mobile phone camera" (small window overlay). This helps you accurately locate the temperature measurement target (such as specific parts of the device, areas of the object to be measured, etc.) through the environment screen, improving the accuracy of temperature measurement.
Data Processing Method:
- Principle of Permission Request: The permission is only temporarily requested when "a compatible hardware is connected via USB" and you actively trigger the "basic preview" or "Picture-in-Picture mode". When no hardware is connected or the preview function is not enabled, the camera is not enabled by default, and there is no background access.
Boundary of Data Collection:
- Basic Preview Scenario: The permission is only used to complete system verification, and no data from the mobile phone camera is collected. The displayed preview screen all comes from the infrared temperature measurement hardware and has nothing to do with the mobile phone camera.
- Picture-in-Picture Scenario: The environment screen captured by the mobile phone camera is only used for real-time overlay display, not stored or uploaded to the cloud server, and no data analysis (such as face recognition, image recognition, etc.) is performed. After the Picture-in-Picture mode is turned off or the preview interface is exited, the screen data captured by the mobile phone camera is immediately cleared locally on the device without any residue.
Restriction on Data Sharing:
No data collected by the mobile phone camera (including the environment screen in Picture-in-Picture mode) will be shared with third parties. All operations related to the camera permission are limited to the implementation of local functions and do not involve external data transmission.
- Location Permissions (android.permission.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION/ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION)
- This application requests precise location (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION) and approximate location (ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION) permissions only to be compatible with devices running Android 10 (API Level 29) or lower versions. The specific purpose is as follows:
When searching for infrared temperature measurement hardware via a Wi-Fi network, it meets the underlying system permission requirements. In Android 10 and lower versions, the system mandates that "obtaining a Wi-Fi network list" must be associated with location permissions. The application uses this permission to scan and identify the dedicated Wi-Fi hotspots of the hardware, thereby completing the Wi-Fi connection.
- The above location permissions are only requested for devices with Android 10 or lower. Devices with Android 11 (API Level 30) or higher do not require these permissions (the system has optimized the Wi-Fi scanning permission logic, and Wi-Fi hotspots can be searched without location permissions). The application prioritizes requesting the approximate location permission (ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION). Only when the device system restricts that the precise location permission (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION) is required to scan Wi-Fi will the corresponding permission request be triggered, minimizing the scope of permission acquisition.
Data Processing and Privacy Protection:
- The location permission is only used in the scenario of "searching for infrared hardware via Wi-Fi". It does not collect or process the user's actual geographical location information (such as longitude and latitude, specific address, etc.), nor is it used for location service-related functions (such as map navigation, location recommendation, etc.).
- The permission only takes effect temporarily when you actively trigger the "Wi-Fi connection to hardware" function, and the permission access automatically stops after the connection is completed.
- No data related to location permissions will be uploaded to the cloud or shared with third parties. All Wi-Fi scanning operations are completed locally on the device.
- How We Store Your Personal Information
We will not store your personal information. The personal information we collect through the APP and the data generated when you connect to hardware devices such as handheld thermal imagers via the APP will all be stored on your terminal device.
- How We Protect Your Personal Information
- We attach great importance to the security of your personal information. We strive to adopt various reasonable physical, electronic, and administrative security measures to protect your personal information and make every reasonable effort to prevent your personal information from being leaked, damaged, or lost.
- Due to the existence of various unforeseeable malicious means that cannot be defended against with existing technologies, even if we have made every effort to take necessary protection measures, your information may still be leaked, damaged, or lost. If you find that your personal information has been or will be leaked for any reason, you should contact us immediately so that we can take timely response measures to prevent or reduce your relevant losses.
- How We Handle Minors' Personal Information
- We mainly provide APP-related products and services to adults. Minors should use the products and services we provide only after obtaining the consent of their parents or guardians.
- We will collect and process minors' personal information only in accordance with the permission of Chinese laws and regulations and with the explicit consent of their parents or other guardians. If we find that we have collected minors' personal information without obtaining the consent of their parents or other guardians, we will delete the relevant data as soon as possible.
